Privacy Policy

Last update: January 13, 2026

This policy describes how Mateo Myftaraj manages visitor data. Transparency is key: this site was built with the goal of respecting user privacy 100%. We do not track you, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising cookies.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is: Mateo Myftaraj. Contact email: mateo@myftaraj.com

2. Cookie Policy

In short: This site does not use cookies.

Unlike most websites, we do not use cookies to track your behavior or for advertising purposes. Since the site is built with modern technology (Svelte) and does not include restricted areas, user logins, or comments requiring authentication, no files are installed on your device while browsing.

3. Statistics and Analysis (Umami)

To understand which articles are most interesting and improve the content of the blog, we use Umami Analytics.

Umami is an open-source, privacy-friendly web analytics solution. Unlike Google Analytics:

  • No cookies: We don’t store anything on your browser.
  • Anonymized data: We only collect aggregated data.
  • No cross-site tracking: We don’t follow you when you visit other websites.

The data collected includes technical metrics such as: page views, device type, browser used, and country of origin. Your IP address is used only temporarily to determine your approximate geographical location (at the region/country level) and is then discarded or irreversibly anonymized.

Legal basis: Processing is based on the legitimate interest of the data controller in optimizing its content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), carried out in such a way as not to impact the user’s privacy.

4. Hosting and System Logs

The site is hosted on Vercel.

The hosting provider may automatically collect certain technical data (such as your IP address) in so-called “system logs” for security purposes (e.g., prevention of DDoS attacks) and technical diagnostics. These logs are not linked to Umami’s analytics activity and are usually deleted after a short technical rotation period.

5. External Links

Articles on this blog may contain links to external sites (e.g., GitHub, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and others). By clicking on these links and leaving this site, you may be subject to the privacy policies of those third-party services, over which we have no control.

6. Rights of the data subject

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request information about your data, request its correction or deletion.

However, it is important to note that Umami does not collect personally identifiable information. We do not store your full IP address or any other data that would allow us to identify you specifically as “John Smith.” As a result, we do not have any personal data that we can retrieve, modify, or delete at your specific request, as each visitor is an anonymous number to us.

If you have any questions or require clarification, you can contact us at the email address indicated in point 1.
